Hello Flat bottom Racing Fans,  Mr. Kent spoke up and said "get me some news boy" so here goes!

First off, Congrats to Sid for a team well done and Charlie for driving to the 2011 Super Stock National High Point Championship!  The team behind those two big guys was right on top of things throughout the whole year.  Sandy, Jeff, Pat, Dave, Randy, and Dale too, really put out a great effort to accomplish the deed!  They got Randy DeBauw to come out of retirement and we think that was a good thing.  Randy was the Crew Chief for Dick Bement and the Creme Bement SS-55 Super Stock.  They were crowned Super Stock Champions also w/ the big guy driving!

We want to mention the passing of a fellow brother in the Super Stock/Pro Stock classes.  Ryan Butler was lost in a racing crash this past summer at Black Lake.  We will never forget Ryan; he was a talented man and a great racer.  His legacy lives on!

Charlie is hard at it already on the SS-95, giving it a slight tune up on the hull.  Next will be the SS-96.  This one will be even faster in 2012!  AC has the engine program dialed in with perfection.

Next, we would like to introduce Rob Henderson to the team.  He is a boat fanatic and wanting to drive.  Therefore, we will be grabbing the Wizard out of storage, getting it back together, getting Rob capsule trained and ready to rock in 2012.  The Wizard is a Bezer that Charlie built from a new hull in the late 80's.  It was a very custom hardwared boat and a real work of art.  It had a little "issue" and the deck was destroyed.  Our friend, Runaway, purchased it damaged from Charlie.  Then with Charlie's help, they rebuilt it and it was raced for a few years.  It was set aside in favor of another hull, but not forgotten.  Runaway decided it needed to be updated to a capsule boat and started the conversion.  It was never finished at the loss of his life in 2009 due to a construction accident.  His wonderful wife was always with us when this boat was raced, when we lost Runaway, Jackie decided we needed to finish it to its new glory and carry on the Runaway tradition.  When Rob contacted us looking for a ride, we talked and really liked him.  Therefore, he is going to be "trained" by Charlie to be the best he can be in a Flat bottom called the Wizard.

We are also planning to step up to the plate with the Outlaw in the Pro Stock class for 2012.  She has been sitting idle way to long.  As soon as the paintwork is completed, it will be in the shop alongside the Wizard being assembled.  We have a lot of custom hardware for both these boats.  Jay Nelson and the A&M guys are always helping us with these two boats.  Without their support, we would never make it!

We are currently assembling another K engine.  As always, Gus Foster is completing this one too.  It will use the modified injector we completed this past season.  Charlie tells us that it makes the boat more drivable, and we can see on the Corsa data logging system that he likes it too.

Speaking of Corsa, we would really like to thank them for all the help, Cody McKinley has been supportive at everything we have asked for.  It really is amazing what you can learn from the system and having Cody and his first class attention is far and above the call of duty.  Cody, you rock man!

We did some work because of the data gathered, to re-design the breather system on the boat.  It was a little hungry for paper towels after a run to clean up some oil here and there, and there and here.  Talking to John at Aviaid, we changed the breather system and after that, there was not anything to use paper towels on anymore.  We had a blast racing and not having to clean up things after the races.  John and Aviaid are great to have on our team.  Without their never-ending support and great products, the engine would be in the shop more than on the track.  Gus does not like to see the engine out of the boat and in his shop; he would rather hear it on the track!

Then there is the other part of the Tribal Team, Jim Hatley Racing, and Ron Smith Motorsports.  Ron has always supported us with his knowledge and helped with tuning the fuel system to get the boat to run and run and run.  Jim is a guru at so many things it is sometimes overwhelming.  He is always there to answer and coach at the data logger info and things that happen in the real world.  He just knows everything.  We can contact him with a note or a call about something that looks funny, and he is on a mission to help us fix it.  Jim, Ron, and Gus are the brains that keep the Tribal Thunder K Racing Runabout together and purring so Charlie can go out and play with guys like Duff, Gordy, and Ty along with all the other drivers in the sport.

Another part of the TTR Team is Dick St John.  He is tasked with machining all the custom parts to put the boats together and custom engine parts.  If you need something trick or custom made, give us a yell, St John can handle the call.

We are adding more pictures and videos all the time so keep checking for new stuff.

2011 was lots of fun.  We could not have had this much fun without Bob Kent.  He has made a dream come true.  We really appreciate the opportunity to carry on his dream of the K boat world.
