Hello fans of the wet and wild world of flatbottom boat racing!

It's been a great year and now that the season is over, we are back in the shop getting ready for 2009.

There will be a couple more boats on the water for the upcoming season in the Tribal Thunder pits.

We are looking forward to working with A&M Precision Measuring Systems, Inc. Jay and the guys are all over the whole Tribal Thunder deal now. They are helping us get both the additional boats completed. They can build just about anything after they have measured it to very close tolerances. They have state of the art equipment for both measuring and machining capabilities. They can fab most anything too. We couldn't get the quality of parts just anywhere, so we called them up and now we're on board !

First will be the return of the Outlaw. This was beautiful red boat back in the late 70's and 80's. She was sitting in the back yard of a local drag racer for nearly 15 years, but has been taken into the shop now for a full restoration. We plan on using it in ProStock, but there is an extra SuperStock engine with no place to go!!!  This one will be back in red with a few little extra touches from the King of Color, Jon Byers, from Byers Custom. Charlie will do most of the work and then Jon will lend a helping hand when it comes to the little things to set it apart. The Tribal Thunder crew will help with the restoration so check out the Outlaw photos in the media section on the whole process!

It will be rigged according to the direction of Charlie himself. Of coarse Gus Foster will provide the fire burning engine and Ron Smith Motorsports will provide the tune up to create havoc on the water!  Wicked Fab provides us with lots of trick parts as does Joe Severance Racing and St John manufacturing. We'll also have DB Industries involved as well as Aviaid Competition Oil Systems. We must not forget too the help from Tom Cirello for mags, Les Davenport for blower mods, JR at RBS Superchargers, Waterman Racing, Application Specialties provides us with tooling, and Corsa gives us a look at the tune up and boat data while Edge Cameras gives all of us an eye opening look forward and behind the competition. Let’s not forget Scotty and Al from Security Race Products for safety and the chat line while driving.

As for the second boat, it is the Wizard. This one now has a capsule in it. We look forward to seeing it back on the water after a few years of being cooped up in the garage. We all know that Runaway will "drive it like ya stole it" for sure. We are pretty sure this center steer hull will be a learning experience for all of us. We are confident though the driver will be more than capable of handling this duty!  Nicholson Excavating will be supporting the man here!

Look back for updates and more photos!

Thanks from all of us to all of you,
Tribal Thunder Racing
